Sichuan, China, May 27 – Shanghai Time Medical Biomed Limited (Time Medical Biomed) signed strategic cooperation agreement with Sichuan University West China Second University Hospital on 27th May at Sichuan University West China campus. Leveraging the strengths of both parties, the two confirmed cooperation on areas such as ultra-high-field MRI imaging products and experimental animal MRI imaging technologies etc. to achieve mutual beneficial development. The two co-found the “Sichuan University West China Second University Hospital – Time Medical Biomed Ultra-high-field MRI Bio-imaging Experiment Center” to further facilitate development and application of experimental animal advanced imaging technologies, and to establish high-standard and multi-functional experimental animal imaging platform. Cooperation Agreement Signing Ceremony
Time Medical has recently setup a 7T ultra-high-field small animal MRI system in Sichuan University West China Experimental Animal Center and has passed installation inspection. This is the first installation of Time Medical Biomed’s ultra-high-field biomedical MRI system in prestige hospitals in China. Until now, Time Medical Biomed has installed 7T-9T ultra-high-field MRI systems in distinguished universities in China, which is a forerunner in the high-end medical equipment in the country. The system was installed in West China Second University Hospital during the epidemic in 2020 with all performance parameters met, receiving the acknowledgement from the client. Time Medical Biomed has now become the world’s second supplier of ultra-high-field biomedical MRI systems.
Time Medical Biomed 7T Ultra-High-Field Small Animal MRI System
Led by Prof. Yingkun Guo, Sichuan University West China Second University Hospital research team has conducted small animal research projects in different aspects and results will be published soon. Prof. Guo said, “Time Medical Biomed’s ultra-high-field MRI system is utilized for whole body imaging research of small animals (such as rats and mice), which includes investigations on their functions and metabolisms under various imaging techniques and models. The system can be used in imaging research and evaluation of nervous system, tumour, cardiovascular system and diseases in other systems and organs in the body, as well as fundamental research related to multimodal imaging such as molecular imaging and cell tracking.” The Center will also provide open animal imaging experiment platform service for clinical hospitals in West China and Sichuan in the future.
