Beijing, China, August 28 – “Belt and Road” High-level Meeting for Health Cooperation: “Towards a Health Silk Road” and Health Industry Expo was opened in the China National Convention Center on August 18, 2017. Yandong Liu, Vice-premier of State Council, Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director General of the World Health Organization (WHO), Mr. Michel Sidibé, Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations and more than 20 minsters from different countries and international organizations such as the WHO and representatives from the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV and AIDS attended the meeting.
All parties in the meeting have come to the following consensus: strengthening communications and cooperation of health policies so as to meet the health-related targets in the “Sustainable Development Goals by 2030” initiative; improving monitoring, prevention and counter-measures of serious infectious diseases, as well as coordination and cooperation in handling health emergencies in countries along the Belt and Road; supporting development of trades in health services, health-and-medical travels and health caring; exploring the possibility of cooperation in mutual recognition of medical equipment submission standards in countries along the Belt and Road, and etc.
Time Medical Systems exhibited two creative products in the Expo: mobile medical imaging system (MMIS) and the first artificial intelligence digital X-ray imaging system.
After the opening ceremony, Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus and Mr. Michel Sidibé, accompanied by Li Cui, Vice Minister of the National Health and Family Planning Commission, visited the booth of Time Medical Systems. Professor Qiyuan Ma, CEO of Time Medical Systems introduced the MMIS and artificial intelligence digital X-ray imaging system to the guests and received highly positive responses from them. These systems are 3A (advanced, accessible and affordable) medical diagnosis service platform specifically designed and developed to solve the problem of inadequate medical diagnostic services and lack of radiologists and technologists in developing countries along the Belt and Road.
As a highlight in the exhibition, MMIS of Time Medical had attracted numerous visits from guests. Time Medical’s team received the Health Department officials from countries such as Sierra Leone, Zambia, Laos, Kenya, Panama, Kazakhstan, Egypt, Mongolia, Kyrgyzstan, Australia, Zimbabwe and Croatia etc., and also the leaders of national and provincial Health and Family Planning Commissions
With the endeavor of Anhui research and development team, the company’s first artificial intelligence digital X-ray imaging system was successfully exhibited and received compliments from physicians and officials from more than 10 countries in the exhibition.
Professor Qiyuan Ma, CEO of Time Medical Systems and Alec Leung, Director for International Sales of Time Medical had also participated in the sub-session of the meeting and round-table discussion in which they shared professional views on the trend in health industry and the way towards international certification for Chinese health industry.
