On 10th November 2018, the first China International Import Expo (CIIE) at National Exhibition and Convention Centre, Shanghai successfully came to an end. More than 400,000 buyers — including representatives from all of China's state-owned enterprises — had the chance to meet with more than 3,600 exhibitors from 172 countries at the Expo, aimed to facilitate imports to China.
In the healthcare products and medical equipment sector, Time Medical has announced the launching of the world’s first neonatal MRI system – NEONA. The NEONA has been featured by major media including CCTV Prime Time, CCTV Int, People’s Daily, Xinhua News, and Phoenix TV and became the hottest product of the Expo.
The world’s first neonatal MRI system – NEONA has compact footprint, light-weighted zero boil-off superconducting magnet and is specifically designed for installation within Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in hospitals. It has incorporated with fast scanning protocols with reduced acoustic noise. The strong gradient ensures the high image quality in terms of high spatial resolution and signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) under short acquisition time. The MR-compatible incubator provides comfort environment with regulated temperature and humidity for the neonates during scanning process.
In addition to the attention of the media and the audience, the NEONA also received compliments from government officials and hospital leaders. The former Vice Premier of PRC - Liu Yandong, the former Minister of Commerce of PRC - Chen Deming, and other representatives of leading hospitals, including PLA General Hospital (301 Hospital) and Shanghai Ruijin Hospital. During the exhibition, Time Medical has signed MOU with more than 50 hospitals for the Neonatal MR systems with a total value of $50 M US.
