Time Medical Inc was founded by a group of scientists from Columbia University, Harvard Medical School and The University of Hong Kong.
Led by founder Prof.Q.Y. Ma, the R&D team pioneered the use of High-Temperature Superconducting (HTS) materials in MRI and is the first in the world to commercially develop HTS RF coils that overcome the imaging limit of conventional copper coils, and make possible an improvement in signal-to-noise ratio, which increases image quality significantly by 200%-500% without a commensurate increase in magnetic field strength.
The team has generated multiple patents to date; published more than 50 papers in the MRI field and owns core IPs licensed from Columbia University and The University of Hong Kong.
As a world leading fully-integrated MRI company, Time Medical generates revenue on sales of HTS coils and components to MRI manufacturers for the retrofitting of existing MRI systems. Time Medical also produces its own state-of-the-art Hybrid MRI systems and soon the world’s first SuperMRI system for Hydrogen, Sodium, Phosphorus and Carbon imaging!
